ABOUT

Everything Zamora

We are a 20-somethin' couple documenting the blessings and blunders of transforming our very first house, the yellow bungalow as we're calling it, into a home.

I'm Kristin and my handsome hubby is the Hacker.  He isn't a hacker at all, but loves all things tech.  He is the go-to man for anything gadget related.  We started dating our senior year of high school and never stopped.  We went to different colleges, and in June of 2007, we got married.

West Hills was our first home in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment until we were ready to buy a house.  We moved to the next town over, Simi Valley, and rented a slightly larger condo.  We figured we would get more bang for our buck here, and it is the home of our church Cornerstone.

It took almost two years, and 6 offers, before God gave us the yellow bungalow.  It was built in 1971 and is a humble 1350 sq. ft. in a friendly track neighborhood.  We decided to document the adventure of transforming our very first house into our home.  The Hacker is an accountant, and I quit my full time job as a teacher so we can be foster parents.  It can get a little crazy around here.  That leaves nights and weekends to do projects on the house.  We are not professionals, as you will clearly see.  However, we're up for the challenge, and excited to embark on this adventure.

Welcome to the Yellow Bungalow
